THE ARCHIVES: Chapter 47

Third Eye

People were watching me.
I was sure wasn’t just my imagination.
I was not being self-centered,
and I was not being paranoid,
because it was true.
People were looking at me
like I grew a third eye
overnight.
I could not read into their looks.
I could not see any emotion
in their glances. There was no
anger, fear, surprise, hatred, love, lust,
or anything.
It was a blank, empty look.
I wished I did have a third eye.
Maybe it would give me the gift
(or would it be a curse?)
of looking into their minds,
and knowing what they think.
