…and July’s Camp NaNoWriMo is right around the corner. As of now, I don’t know what I’m going to write yet. July is looking to be an extremely busy month, but the good part is that it’s got 31 days and a three-day weekend because of Independence Day.
I have four options of what to write:
- Continue with my current work in progress, just jack up the daily word count.
- Continue writing (and hopefully finish) the outline of my next story, which I did not finish in April.
- Start an outline for another story idea I had back in December. Or start writing the actual story and go without an outline.
- Do something completely different.
Do you have any ideas for July’s Camp yet?
I have an idea for a short (ish?) story that I’ve been messing around with lately. I might try to set a word goal for that. The summer NaNo’s are the more flexible ones in terms of word count, right?

Camp NaNoWriMo allows you to edit your word count goal. ^^

Yep, you can set your own word count goal. I think the minimum you can put down is 10,000, but I could be wrong.

I haven’t done a Camp in a while, but I’m thinking about doing it this year, since I need to keep buckling down on my word count with /something,/ any of my projects, really.

It’s well worth it!

Continue with your current WIP. Might as well finish something you’ve already started. I ran a poll on my blog and had my readers vote for which novel I should write because I couldn’t decide either. I’ll be adding more words onto a WIP as well.

Yeah, that would be the easiest choice. Keep on keepin’ on. 🙂

It’s best to go with the flow and finish up on a work in progress story. The one I did in April needs to be rewritten, but I have a brand new story in mind for July.

I think I will go with that choice. It’s not like I’m losing steam with it, so full speed ahead!

I would continue on with the current work in progress. That way you don’t get to overwhelmed or put it off to the side. If I did that it would be hard for me to get motivated to finish it. I’m doing a story that I just started a few weeks ago.

That’s right. I wouldn’t want to get caught up in something else and neglect my current WiP!

I’d suggest like the others and continue what you’re working on. I’m not stressing too much about July camp yet. I’m thinking of editing what I’ve written so far from April’s camp. It’s nearly 40k now so once I finish up Part 1 of the story, I’ll reassess it in July.

Your plan sounds good. I’ve never edited anything for Camp before.
