Sometimes I envy people who can breeze through life, making decisions on a whim, seemingly oblivious to the future or anything negative that might come down the road. Ideally, we all ought to be carefree because there’s no sense in worrying.
Then you get the people like me who think way too much and overanalyze everything. This is sometimes a good trait because it allows me to trick people into thinking I’m smart. 🙂 But all this “head time” can lead to headaches, literally and figuratively, so that’s why I sometimes wish I didn’t take things so seriously all the time.
I think that the key to getting out of your own head is helping people or spending time interacting with someone face to face. In a world where so much of our communication is based on screens, we sometimes forget that we need human interaction, and not only does it keep us healthy, it also keeps us from getting lost inside our own heads.
Be wary of too much head time!
