- This post on Invisible Ink got me thinking about the Humans of New York project. If you haven’t heard of it, you should check it out. It’s so interesting to read blurbs about others’ lives to see how different, and yet how similar, we all are. How would you distill your life, your goals, your past into 100 words and a photograph?
- I have been trying to bring more silence into my life, but my attempts have been unsuccessful. I have basically given up all music except classical and Gregorian chant. My workplace is often eerily quiet, except for the keyboards clicking and phones ringing. But other things have still come in to fill the silence: my own anxious thoughts and talk radio. Both have yet to drive me insane. 🙂
- Camp NaNoWriMo is coming up fast. My plan (although this may change) is to write a 25,000-word outline of my next story. That’s roughly 500 words per scene, if I write a 60-scene outline (which I normally do). I’m hoping that I can get to know my characters better; the major holdup I’m having with this story is that my characters are strangers (to each other and to me).
I hope everyone has had a good week!
