Love Songs

I was going to write a long, elaborate post about love and marriage and how it’s getting harder and harder to find real love these days… but instead I shall post some of my favorite love songs. (And I am a sucker for romance and love songs.)

My Heart – Paramore

Wherever You Will Go – The Calling

Separate Ways – Journey

Broken – Seether

My Hero – The Foo Fighters

Your Guardian Angel – The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

She Will Be Loved – Maroon 5

I Caught Fire – The Used

Tonight, Tonight – The Smashing Pumpkins

Love You Most – The Dollyrots

Even in Death – Evanescence

I’m sure there are tons more that I forgot, but these are the first ones that came to my mind. Anyway, happy Valentine’s Day!

  1. I have to add this one:

(Absolute Beginners — David Bowie, one of my all-time favorite love songs).

I wrote a chapter once where two of my favorite characters got married, and I called it Absolute Beginners. (One of my pet peeves about romantic movies is that the marriage is often the ending — a tradition which obviously goes back at least to Shakespeare — whereas in reality the wedding is the beginning. The stuff before that is okay, but after the wedding is when things get really interesting. 🙂 )

    And, yes, happy Valentine’s Day!
