NAIWE 2011 Summer Challenge

When I see a challenge, I accept it – unless it’s something completely crazy. So for the NAIWE (National Association of Independent Writers and Editors) Summer Challenge, I plan to do the following:

1. Read these three inspiring/motivational books: Breathing Life into Your Characters (Rachel Ballon), The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey), and Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway (Susan Jeffers)

2. Finish revising the behemoth that is the XIII series.

3. Become a contributor for the New Student Union, which is an online magazine scheduled to launch sometime in July or August. That will hopefully give me an extra stream of income.

  1. Good luck, Maggie.

I had Stephen Covey’s book on my bookcase for years. Every time I tried to read it, I lost interest. I finally gave it to my nephew when he graduated from high school.

I’m pretty sure I read Susan Jeffers’ book and enjoyed it. If not her book, than others on not giving in to self-limiting beliefs.

    Have FUN.
    Write on!

    • There’s a lot of those types of motivational books that I want to read, so I’m not going to stop with just those two. 🙂
