Featured website: chainbooks.com

Very little is known about today’s featured website as it has yet to be revealed to the public. June 2011 (next month is June already?) is the intended launch date. Chainbooks is going to be another collaborative writing site, in which one writer starts a story and other writers add on to it until the pieces is finished.

You can sign up today to write a starting chapter that will be shown on the website after it’s launched. These first starting chapters will be the “seeds” of new collaborative stories. Check the website for a little more information and a glimpse of what Chainbooks will be like.

With Chainbooks, you don’t have to finish what you start! ๐Ÿ˜€

EDIT (7/8/2011): According to Chainbooks, the website will not be available until September 2011.

    • “Finish what others have started, literally” is their tagline, so I played with it a bit. ๐Ÿ˜›

  1. Interesting. I don’t think I would be interested in participating at the moment, but the idea is funny (and I’ve been known to do similar things IRL).
Your tagline about not finishing what you start, by the way, is fantastic!

    • Their tagline is “Finish what others have started, literally” so I took it a step further. ๐Ÿ˜›

  2. Might be interested bot sure (about writing a starter chapter)…would actually be more interested in bulding on someone else’s foundation. What can I do to make that happen?

    • I think the site will eventually let you build on a story that someone else has already started. The site’s not ready yet, but when it is, I’m sure you’ll be able to do that.
