Every writer has their unique routine, and some do not follow one at all. I have to go by a routine most of the time, but I’ve realized over the years that I can’t just do things hour by hour; it has to be task by task.
I have to plan every week out and just do the things I planned on the days I planned them. JUST DO IT. Procrastination does not exist for me most of the time. I realized that I tend to be the most lazy on Fridays, so I made Friday the day in my schedule that I don’t do anything; it’s just a day to relax.
Things I must do every day:
- Read the Bible.
- Write a poem.
- Write in XIII or be planning a new part.
- Study my stylebooks.
Those things absolutely must get done, along with reading some of whatever book I’m currently in the middle of. I am planning to apply to at least one job per day beginning tomorrow.
Wish me luck!
I enjoyed this.
